What is Dry Needling?
Dry Needling (or Intramuscular stimulation/ IMS) is a technique which uses fine acupuncture needles to release tight bands, or "trigger points", in a muscle. The theory underlying Dry Needling is to enhance the communication between the nerve and muscle, which results in decrease muscle tension, decrease pain, and increased strength
Dry Needling can be used to treat multiple body parts simultaneously. This allows you to address multiple (or often related) body parts during the same appointment
Many patients start to see results within 1-2 treatments.
Many patients see results with Dry Needling after limited success with other treatment options, such as chiropractic adjustments or massage.
